C&R Transmissions

CR1 Transmission

• Center Support - Stabilizes the input and counter shafts keeping them from flexing and moving out of alignment, allowing gears to mesh at optimal levels.
• New Shifter Design – Better quality materials, detail design of selector rails and careful attention to shift patterns eliminates miss shifts during gear changes with the new hand set.
• Flexible – The design allows for installation of the car’s shifter on either the left or right side of the transmission.
• Safer – The option to locate the shifter on either the left or right side of the transmission allows for installation of the driver’s seat further from the left door. Increasing the distance between the driver and point of impact reduces the risk of injury in a driver’s side collision.
• Lighter – The streamlined construction reduces the weight of the unit by 10 pounds (as compared to similar models).
• Cleaner – O-rings located on the shift cover, midplate, bellhousing, and front bearing retainer eliminate the need for sealer. O-rings are not only better protection against potential leaks they allow for quicker and easier adjustments and cleanup.
• New Gear Design – The CR1 is able to accept the new CR1V3 gear package.
