Tom Lieb started peddling parts out of his garage in Los Angeles, California. From his garage began the story of SCAT, which has become the premier manufacturer of high performance racing crankshafts and engine components for a wide range of American and Foreign engines.

We have also significantly expanded our line of automotive components over the years to include Pro Car seats and other products for distribution to the automotive enthusiast. For the past four decades, SCAT’s success has been built on innovation, quality and customer service. We look forward to building upon our successes and innovations in the high performance aftermarket for years to come.

Our broad and constantly expanding product that includes over 300 different rotating assemblies, over 50different rod applications, over 40 cast crank applications, over 90 forged crank applications (including the SCAT exclusive superlight and lightweight profiled cranks) and a complete line of pistons, rings, bearings, flexplates and dampers.

This is possible because of the significant time and effort we spend sourcing our parts from only the most reliable suppliers worldwide. Together with our significant manufacturing capability, which includes two state of the art American GFM crankshaft milling machines, a multitude of CNC machining centers, crankshaft grinders and polishers, and a complete production line for connecting rods allows us to accomplish virtually any custom crank and rod manufacturing project presented to us. We continue to expand and improve our manufacturing capability to keep us at the forefront of our industry.

For over 40 years, SCAT has been manufacturing and distributing parts for the performance aftermarket.  SCAT’s success has been built on innovation, quality and customer service.
