Heidt's Hot Rod Shop

If you drive a Mustang or Pinto, you know that they don't bumpsteer. If you drive a car using Heidt's Hot Rod Shop Mustang conversion kit you will happily find that it doesn't bumpsteer either. Why? Because we don't give you longer tie rod ends which would MISMATCH the tie rod length and it's swing radius with the spindle radius. Because we do not alter the thread width which would require the longer tie rod ends. Because we don't move the location of the upper control arm pivot or shorten the upper arm (to clear fenders--that is why we limit our applications) which would change the spindle swing radius.

Because Heidt's Hot Rod Shop duplicates the design of the Mustang suspension system as Ford Motor Company designed it, you know it will work just as smoothly and effortlessly as it does in the Mustang, which is something no one else can claim. Study the diagrams and you will see for yourself why HEIDT'S HOT ROD SHOP manufactures the finest Mustang Conversion Kit available. The only one which will truly make your car a pleasure to drive. The ONLY ONE that REALLY WORKS!

Now that you've examined this technical section, wouldn't you rather purchase one of the most important parts of your car--the front suspension and steering system--from someone who genuinely knows and is able to tell and show you how and why it is supposed to work correctly?

It is important to us that you understand why we build the kits the way we do and have become the leader in Mustang front end conversion kits.

Finally, Mustang II Full A-Arms for the budget builder. Heidt's Hot Rod Shop has designed cost conscious control arms for the builder who does not require the high tech look of tubular control arms but wants the ease of installing custom full A-Arms on his Mustang II I.F.S. The upper arms are a direct replacement for factory arms. The lower A-Arms have the same wide triangulated spread that Heidt's full tubular lower A-Arms do, so they need no strut rods. Formed from 7 gauge steel, the same as their Mustang II crossmembers, they are super strong. They come complete with the ball joints and bushings installed, and with all the hardware and spacers ready to install.

The completely assembled Mustang II Suspension Package and Crossmember Assembly is shown so that you can see how your installation will look when completed. You can see that this is a very state of the art suspension system that will give your Mustang, Cougar or Falcon the ride, handling and stopping you are after. (Comes standard with dropped spindles)

HEIDT’S has done it again, releasing its new `67-`69 Camaro Front Subframe featuring their new Pro-G™ Front Suspension. This state of the art suspension was designed specifically for this new subframe which bolts directly in place with no floor modifications. This is not just another warmed-over or adapted street rod suspension kit, but it is truly a new system, designed for absolute handling and performance, with true race car geometry and characteristics. 1-1/4” Upper and 1-1/2” lower Tubular arms, HEIDT’S Billet Adjustable Coil-Overs, 11” brakes, Tall Dropped Spindles, and Rack & Pinion are included. Options include Trans Crossmember, Polished Stainless Control Arms, Polished Billet Coil-Overs, 12” and 13” Disc Brakes, power Rack & Pinion, and Front Sway Bar.
